Description: Direct administration of Human Services Programs on the Grand Portage Reservation in conformance with policies of the Reservation Tribal Council and availability of funds. Plan, develop and implement new social service programs. Consults with the Administrator of Programs to plan activities and expenditures. Coordinates activities of staff engaged in investigating and counseling clients and providing other services as required. Works with community leaders and other interested parties to improve with county, state, federal and other public or private organizations. Prepares social services budget, grant request and adjust services in accordance with available funds and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a closely related field from an accredited four year college or university.

Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed Social Worker or be willing to become a Licensed Social Worker. Must have at least four years of supervisory and administrative related experience and/or training. Working knowledge of Minnesota Family Preservation Act and Indian Child Welfare Act preferred.
