Description: | Responsible for the provision of mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. Clinicians with experience in addiction counseling and child therapy are an asset. Performs individual, marital/couples, family and group therapies for children, adolescents, and adults. Services are to be provided to patients with a wide variety of acute and chronic mental health problems. Must maintain and provide a respectful attitude to clients and as a team member of the Grand Portage Tribal Council, and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s). |
| Education: |
Master’s degree in psychology from an accredited college or university. |
| Qualifications: |
Must be a licensed psychologist in Minnesota. Experience or knowledge of cultural traditions is an asset. Ability to advocate for American Indian children; knowledge and skills at child protection, and working in cooperation with local and county agencies, are a must. Must have knowledge of the Privacy Act and able to maintain confidentiality. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable with Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance. |
