Description: Responsible for coordination and support of education and training courses. Assisting in the preparation and submission student grants and aids of requests. Prepare budgets and justify funds requested. Manages funds distribution and compliance with granting agencies requirements. Schedule and facilitate election of LIEC and advises, assists and provides support to the Local Indian Education Committee. Keeps information on new developments, methods and techniques in the education and training fields and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of four years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience working with education and computers. Written and oral communication skills are essential. Ability to manage budgets and draft grant proposals, are desired. Must be able to keep all information strictly confidential.

 
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
