Description:
Part-time health education position is funded from the SNAP ED grant. This position will primarily provide services to and work with the youth and elder programs. This position will assist the SNAP ED Coordinator with the responsibility to plan, implement, and monitor outcomes to promote understanding of and advocacy for policy, systems and environmental change that will improve the public's health and quality of life in compliance with SNAP ED requirements.

Education:
Health, Nutrition, or Education related experience is desirable. Knowledge of American Indian health disparities, cultural patterns, attitudes and practices is desired.

Qualifications:
Valid driver's license from state of residence and insurable through RTC vehicle insurance policy is required. Ability to present ideas accurately, effectively, and concisely, both orally and in writing required. Ability to teach, speak, demonstrate, and hold discussions effectively in front of and with various groups and individuals is required. Ability to work independently and establish work priorities is required.

 

Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
