Description:
Work as a part of a team assisting with Grand Portage community members to receive access to health care in and out of their home. Provide home visits to assist patients with activities of daily living as requested by Community Health Nurse. Provide transportation and travel coordination for patients as needed; assist during Health Service Clinic/Doctor activities, including patient registration; pick up and deliver medications; perform pre-employment drug testing; other duties as assigned
Education:
High school diploma or post-secondary graduate in a related field. Minnesota Health Care Aide program completion (or ability to attain). Knowledge of Health Service programs and resources, familiarity of medical terminology and ability to provide patient/nursing care. CPR certificate or willingness to attain.
Qualifications:
Ability to travel flexible hours; must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable with Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
