NPS Facility Manager/AFA Program Administrator
Superintendent in coordination with Tribal Council
Represents the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the Grand Portage National Monument, as outlined in the Annual Funding Agreement, in relation to maintenance project planning and management, and other related topics. Maintain relationships with the Tribal Chairman as well as their respective Tribal Council periodically and at special meetings, affecting a close working relationship conducive to attaining objectives. Responsible for developing AFA Projects related to the Grand Portage National Monument. Using a variety of NPS software programs (Project Management Information System (PMIS), Facility Management Software System (FMSS), Cost Estimating Software System (CESS)) and other related systems, training will be made available. Must be willing to travel for training/meetings etc. Responsible for managing projects from inception through completion, providing leadership, direction, technical guidance, and support as necessary to complete projects/contracts. Responsible for fiscal management. Establish goals, priorities and work projects for maintenance operations.
Strong technical knowledge of all building systems. Knowledge of health and safety practices and OSHA regulations. Understanding of budgeting and performance management. Excellent planning and leadership abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
