Description:
The caretaker works in conjunction with the Grand Portage Lodge to ensure that the day-to-day operation of the resort meets customer expectations and standards set by the Lodge Manager. The caretaker will work in coordination with lodge staff to maintain guest services as they pertain to registrations and check-outs of guests, housekeeping and maintenance of the property.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs. Must have good communication skills, ability to multi-task, and have customer service skills. Must be able to work independently and/or with others when needed.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
