Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor leads the daily operational activities of the maintenance division at Grand Portage National Monument, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance of park facilities, structures, grounds, utilities, and equipment. This position supervises all maintenance staff, Conservation Crew, Boat Decontamination and the Interpretation department, manages work schedules, supports project planning and execution, and upholds the mission, values, and standards of the Grand Portage Band and the National Park Service, as outlined in the Annual Funding Agreement. The role includes responsibility for both day-to-day maintenance and project-based work, including oversight of construction, repair, renovation, and facility improvement projects.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to provide clear direction and maintain effective working relationships. Daily operations and workforce supervision, administrative and coordination responsibilities, project planning and management, safety and compliance, communication and collaboration. Ability to work collaboratively with Tribal partners, NPS staff, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Experience in building trades, facilities management, maintenance operations, or a related field. Supervisory experience, valid driver's license is required (no exceptions), ability to meet physical demands of maintenance work and comply with safety standards.
