Description:
Assist crew members and park staff in accomplishing resource and park management tasks and projects. Typical duties will include trail maintenance, tree/vegetation removal, wildland fire, landscape maintenance, and other natural/cultural resource tasks or special projects as assigned. Must always follow required safety protocols.
Education:
In-process of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in outdoor setting preferred. Science or trades background preferred.
Qualifications:
Must be between 16-17 years of age. Must be willing to work outside on a diversity of projects in all kinds of weather while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with various project mentors, community members and fellow crew members.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
