Description:
Serves as a full-time Air Quality Technician who will implement the Tribal Air Program on the Grand Portage Reservation. Continue the air monitoring program by maintaining and operating the Grand Portage hazecam and particulate monitor. Investigate indoor air quality issues and write reports about the investigations. Establish and maintain relationships with other Tribes, States and Federal Agencies.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in life science, physical science, or environmental science; OR two-years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Must be a motivated self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with others. Knowledge of building science and indoor air quality issues, particularly how they relate to asthma, is desired. Must be knowledgeable in computer word processing and must be able to plan and organize.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
