Trust Lands Administrator

Supervises the land use and roads planning, construction and maintenance programs, working closely with Land Use Committee and under the guidance of the Tribal Council and any other job-related duties as assigned by Tribal Council. Travel to various meetings and conferences will be required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must be familiar with Tribal government and sovereignty. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, have organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to use good judgment and tact when dealing with issues or the public.


Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
