Description:
Setting up and running projects, including workshops, events and shared activities to bring young people together. Advocating, addressing and educating youths' interest, influences and issues. Provide guidance and support to youth through teaching and active engaged mentoring. Manage and develop community programs. Collaborate with other organizations, such as schools and community groups. Attend training opportunities to stay updated on adolescent health and safety issues.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree.
Qualifications:
Must be a good role model to the youth of Grand Portage. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable through Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance. The ability to relate well to children and education in working with children and adolescents in sports activities is highly desired.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
